Situated on a rising hill just off of Highway 72, down a winding caliche road, in Live Oak County, is Mission Sin Caja, built by Kurt House, a man with a mission. The structure dares to dramatically break the horizon and is topped with a iron cross perched above the belled-steeple at some 45ft. Using indigenous materials such as rock, mesquite and cantera and decorated and embellished with period antiques and detailing, Kurt House has constructed a dream.
